Veron was created in 2005, and originally started off as a small, indie team of two, who had a vision to create one of the best RTS games of all time. The two were only indie devlopers, but they had big ideas. They decided to form a small e-business called Death by Dawn Studios (DbD), and used that company to flagship the idea of the game they had in mind, and get the idea off the ground.
In April 2007, Death by Dawn Studios was renamed to Veron, and another part-time freelancer joined the team. The three together had created a fair amount of the game they wished to complete, and released the first public beta to the world. In the first few days of launching, the game was downloaded hundreds of thousands of times, and was linked to by many different organisations around the globe.
The game we are talking about is Arena Cagematch. To this day, the game is still being developed, and has gone from a single player deathmatch FPS game, to being a 16v16 player online Capture the Flag (as well as many more modes) game. The game focused on a commercial appearance in store fronts by late 2008 - early 2009.
Veron is a moderately-sized business, operating from its office in Australia.
